This international partnership agreement between the Asturian club and the Japanese youth football development company marks the beginning of a new collaboration, whose objective is to promote the development of young Japanese football players, using the methodology of Real Oviedo as a reference. A bidirectional global agreement that includes different areas of collaboration within the framework of grassroots football development.
Oviedo / Yokohama (Japan), July 15th, 2021.- Real Oviedo & Wakatake Group have reached an agreement in order to jointly collaborate in the development and training of Japanese youth football players and coaches. This alliance between the Asturian club and the Japanese company, will see the first project coming into action as soon as August 2021; with three talented young Japanese players visiting the club for a one month immersive program with the club’s academy teams during their pre-season training.
In this first project, the three Japanese youth players will have the opportunity to learn first hand about Real Oviedo´s academy methodology, combining individual training sessions with team training with the club’s academy squads. An immersive experience that goes beyond football, as they will also have the chance to discover the city of Oviedo & its culture, learn a little bit of the local language and feel the identity of this historical spanish football club.
In addition to this first project, both parties are aligned with a same vision that will see a set of international actions, within the framework of youth development and both in Oviedo and Japan, being created towards the objectives of empowering the development of Japanese youth football and Real Oviedo´s club identity in the country of Japan. These development plan will include high performance individual programs, clinics, international tournaments, coaching courses, elearning programs and many more actions.
